Craoi na Móna is pronounced ‘Cree na Mona’ and in Gaelic means ‘Heart of the Peat Bog’. This Irish single malt whiskey is distilled at the Cooley Distillery and after aging in ex-bourbon American oak casks for ten years it was finished in ex-Laphroaig casks to impart a sweet smoke.
Drawing on this influence our design incorporates an illustration of a traditional Irish peat turf-cutter along with a line from Irish poet Eva Brennan. A delicate background of smoke, with the addition of natural colours on the label and choice of green bottle complete the picture.
