The day after the sinking of the Titanic, a letter was sent from the White Star Line to ‘Berry Bros. & Co.’ It reports the loss of 69 cases of the firm’s wines and spirits onboard the ship. No mention was made of the lives that were lost.
To commemorate the centenary of the sinking Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled a limited edition 1998 The Glenrothes Single Malt Whisky. Individually numbered, there were just 100 bottles, priced at £100 each.
Our design for the label and bottle replicates the early-1900s Edwardian style of those lost to the depths of the Atlantic. A truly unique bottling.
